CO2e YTD, sample site

A carbon number you can trace back to a meter.

Carbon Ledger turns the energy you already measure into emissions, month by month. Grid electricity, open-access power, rooftop solar, diesel generators, boilers and furnace fuel each get a line with the activity data, the emission factor, its source and the result. Nothing is a black box.

Reactions

What Carbon Ledger does on a working day.

Co-1

Scope 2 from meters

Grid electricity emissions from actual metered consumption, using location-based and market-based methods side by side.

Co-2

Scope 1 fuels

Diesel for DG sets, LPG, natural gas, furnace oil and coal from fuel logs, flow meters or purchase records.

Co-3

Renewables credited

Rooftop solar and green open-access power are separated out so their effect on market-based emissions is explicit.

Co-4

Traceable factors

Each factor shows its source and year. When a new national factor is published, prior months stay locked unless you choose to restate.

Co-5

Intensity metrics

tCO2e per unit produced, per square foot or per occupied room, ready for comparison and disclosure.

Co-6

Site roll-up

Per site, per business unit and company-wide totals, with a clear boundary of what is included.

Process

How it goes live at your site.

  1. 1

    Define boundary

Choose sites, sources and the reporting year. Set your base year.

  2. 2

    Connect activity

Meters feed electricity automatically. Add fuel logs or connect flow meters.

  3. 3

    Apply factors

Default factors are pre-loaded per country. Override with supplier-specific values where you have them.

  4. 4

    Close the month

Lock each month once reviewed. The ledger becomes the source for ESG reports.

Questions

About Carbon Ledger

Carbon Ledger focuses on Scope 1 and Scope 2, where your meters give accurate activity data. Scope 3 figures from other systems can be imported for completeness in the report.

National grid factors for Scope 2 location-based, IPCC default factors for fuels, and supplier-specific or certificate-backed values for market-based where you provide them.

Yes. Give them read-only access and they can drill from any total down to the meter series or bill behind it.

Closed months are locked. A restatement creates a new version with the reason recorded, and both versions remain visible.
